Here is a historic map with profile from the White Pass & Yukon route website. It has a zoomed in rectangle to move around

The grade starts three miles from the wharf. That is just out of sight in the overhead view.
The summit of White Pass (2885 feet) is at about 20.5 miles. The actual highest point on the railroad is further north.
On the map the bridge is called out as proposed at the the switchback location.
