It was me that made it political on the other thread. I whole heartedly take responsibility and reprocussions of it. I did not mean for it to come out that way. It was just built up frustration that people are trying to ruin lives of those who depend on the railroad with no facts that they may not have even been responsible for the fire. We need to wait until the report comes out before pointing fingers. Even if the railroad would be at fault, it was nature's way of renewal and it was going to burn one way or another... people must also take responsibility for living in the forested west for not taking proper precautions of fire prevention and expecting help to come their way when the fires come. However i am happy that there were buildings or lives lost. I recently heard that the fire is of no threat to anything. The national forest have been supressed for so long that all fires now days are going to be rather large and uncontrollable. Proper management needs to make a come back allowing logging and regular controlled burns of which we know certain groups will never allow.. I am sorry about the prior thread again and i believe that Jerry should not be taking the fallout. Blame me if you are going to point fingers, I deserve it.
We have witnessed valley
and plain and crest,
Canon and pass we've scanned;
We have seen the best
of the glorious West,
by the trail of the Rio Grande
