In addition to the two NNGCs hosted in the Seattle area so far, the good folks in Seattle has a lot of visitors from the two NNGC hosted in Portland OR. The 18th NNGC in 1999 and the 28th in 2008 hosted by the Portland folks included three days of layout touring in the Seattle area just prior to the opening of the conventions in Portland. I do not recall the year that Tommy Thompson passed, but his RR in Anacortes was not listed as one of the layouts to visit in the 18th NNGC timetable from 1999.
