There was a pit there in 1973 (first time I was there). That area seems to get a lot of spring runoff, so it may have washed away the signs of it. The center pin for the turntable was still there. Is it still on the side road south of town.
That turntable was moved to Anthracite from Malta when the D&RG standard gauged the main line.
