There is some really cool work going on here. Derrick OP is being used to remove 483's sand dome so 483 can get a staybolt cap and lagging inspection. At this time there was no crane of any kind on the property. The other thing is 487 is hot. 487's flue time expired in the fall of 1967 and had not run since. Here we see her with the tender lettering blacked out doing the switching work. 487 did not go into service on the C&TS until 1974. 484 also needed a flue extension to be placed in service that spring.

Rich and the gang accomplished a lot of work with absolutely nothing to work with.
