houses yes, inhabited no. About 54% of all the housing in Georgetown is either short term rentals (air BnB ) or vacation homes that are unoccupied all but a few weeks a year. Thats driven the price of living in town (and the county) sky high, most of us clear creek residents face either high rents, or living in the slums. Most of the county works in the service industry to serve tourists and makes about 13 an hour or less, few can pay the $1200 a month an average apartment costs, I myself struggle from month to month despite doing pretty good for myself at the Loop. The Yuppifacation has been ongoing for many years, this is just the most recent chapter.
