I purchased a copy of the book as soon as I heard about it. Not cheap but very well produced. I was not disappointed by the photography, especially the narrow gauge stuff, some of which I had seen before but some not. Beebe and Clegg's books were among the first in my railroad collection, and whatever you think of their prose and historic research, they were photography pioneers and recorded a lot of interesting stuff before railroad photography became so common. They also lived a colorful life style, and the first couple of chapters are a very interesting account of their lives. I don't buy many railroad books these days, the shelf is full and too much stuff is on the internet, but at least for me this book was well worth the investment.
