My guess would be they moved with extra 497 east out of Alamosa on Valley Line May 16 1949.
Make up of consist was not shown, so no mention of coaches.
Train arrived Salida with 16 loads 10 empties. Good possibility the empties were 9 coaches and caboose.

Post for May 19, 1949, has extra 497 west out of Salida for Gunnison. Make up of consist is very hard to read so I didn't make it part of the post.
Studying the writing very hard it does appear one of the lines pertains to coaches. Train arrived Gunnison morning of May 20.
