So far, absolutely nothing. So far as I know, the only real news coming out is the Metro Reil which is supposed to occupy the old IRCA right of way. It looks rather odd. Sadly if this does come through, the entire Guatemala city yard will be destroyed and most of the buildings will be gutted. Here's what I do know, the government's estimate was 350 million for the previous administration, and 200 or 250 for the current one. I cannot find the article, but the estimate given by a company to them was 770 million. Over or nearly over, three times what the government thought. I have no idea what will happen. What I do know is that there are still movements down in the yard. Although they only have occurred twice, that I know of. This was discovered when I looked at Google Maps and found that around 2012 and late 2017 to early 2018, some of the cars were moved. These cars were not scrapped due to previously vacant areas being filled.
