John Chalres takes a crack at 1744's right hend seatbox....


While Yours Truly tries tries to figure out what all these valve handles do...


Pounding up the 3% at Francisco..


...While Charlie enjoys his Dr. Pepper..


...and a sandwich.


Then drops the hole works into his lap when 1744 stubs her toe and lets loose in a resounding slip....


Natural Cut. The right side is as nature made it, the left side has a small bit removed..


Interesting phenomenon we discovered with 1744: First, she fires better with the sanding peephole open. Under most conditions, the fire looks like this....


...however if you get the fire set just right, with just a touch of color at the stack, the incoming air in the peephole bursts into flame at the instant is enters the hole. Like this...
