Ah said Ah wuz all growed up when Calvin & Hobbes came along – purdy near a geezer, achtully. An' Ah do remembah LuLu Arfin' Annie from the Pogo strips, Joe Palooka an' Amos 'n' Andy. IIRC, Major Hoople an' Haich O'Mannder at the CRRM have a lot in common, too . . .

AhYup. IIRC, Barney Google was the husband of the notorious Georgiana Condi-GoogleEyes who nearly single handed 'cept fer help from a couple o' crooked lawyers almost destroyed the Georgianatown Loop-de-Loop 'bout a decade 'n' a half ago. An' Snuffy Smith coined th' term "Flatland Touristers" to describe the same sort o' narry-gauge patrons we call "Daisy Pickers".

That'ud be a mighty fine offer, Stewart -
But Ah live 'bout as fah away from Maine as I could in the U.S., 'cept maybe fer 'Laska or Hawai'i, so it'd be hard to accept even if Ah did win. Anyway, Ah'm a-thinkin' thet thar slogan has to do with a downeaster beverage o' some sort – maybe Moose Drool ale??
