Jeff - There were two types of so called skeleton cars. One was a 24 foot logging car and the other the more commonly know skeleton cars at 38 feet. I am aware that there are no good drawings of these cars with dimensions. We are currently in the early process of rebuilding one of the 38 foot cars #113 and I had to go down to Antelope, California to measure Taylors two skeleton cars there that are rapidly falling apart. I have not had time to draw out accurate plans yet but do have all the dimensions we need to correctly rebuild the car. I would be happy to help later in the year after we complete the car or your friend can come down to the NCNGRR museum and we can go over our existing plans. Also, in regards to model building, Ede Biro did build me an accurate G scale model of the 38 foot car that I could display before I rebuilt 113 so would recommend contacting him on the West Side Lumber Co yahoo site.
