The #44 was better! (Probably because it's the first steam engine I learned to fire
) I was always scared of how the water "disappeared" from the glass when the engine went from the 4% to the flat at Silver Plume so I kept her full of water at the top. I was firing for Roy Breffel one day and as we neared the top he asked if I thought he should row it into the station! After that I wasn't so nervous. Dee Brown took on the tender headlight move although I don't remember exactly when. I may figure it out when I get into my slides.
