Last time I saw #51 was probably 3-4 years ago, while on a tour of John Bermingham's operation near Hudson. She was safely ensconced indoors, in one of the shop buildings, stripped of her "jewelry" (bell, whistle, plates, etc.) which was stored elsewhere in a secure location. Other than that and an accumulation of dust, she appeared to be in good shape. We were told that she could indeed run again without any major work, but that did not appear to be a high priority endeavor. At the time, John was still around, although his family had pretty much taken over the daily business of the revenue operations of his holdings.
John had amassed quite a collection of surplussed heavy-weight passenger cars and odds and ends of motive power and M.O.W.. equipment. He has since passed away, and I have no idea what, if any of his collection remains, including #51. John's acquisitions were scattered along sidings on the Great Western right-of-way at Mead and other locations as well as on several yard tracks at Hudson,
