The shells are currently being designed for the specific chassis... In this case, the trial models are based off of a pair of Life Like Proto 2000 GP-30s, and the other based off the Athearn SD-40-2 snoot chassis. Why these particular models? I had both of them and no plans on doing much of anything in HO anytime soon. Our first steps is to make a base that fits onto the chassis, and then build the shell around that. Long term, I want to build some that work with the Broadway Limited RSD-15. Its all about time and competing hobbies right now. Another idea we are having is to design the basic shell. That would include walkways, steps, hood and cab. Details like grills, fans, doors, light fixtures, etc would be up to the individual modeler at least initially.
