Nice shot William! I’ve seen another shot of this car taken from the road. Or maybe they had 2 incidents at this location! Hiya Earl! This eastbound shot is at the Colorado Highway 172 crossing and the train is just shy of reaching Falfa. The train is at the location where some of the westbound trains would stop and cut off the helper (after 1958) to go down the hill. If you look real hard you can see MP 442. After reading the information in some of Jimmy's posts, the location made sense to me. A short way beyond the caboose in the picture is where the real grade down hill started.
