I attended the Winter Spectacular in 1973. Wow . . . forty-five years ago. I drove up from Crozet, Virginia, in my 1966 Volvo station wagon, spent the day in and around Orbisonia, then turned around and drove back. I think it was zero or maybe below when I hit the road that morning, and it didn't warm up a lot as the day wore on. I attended again, perhaps in 1975, when I was living in D.C. Good times! Thanks for the memories. And, yes, I wish I had returned for another February extravaganza. I visited the EBT again, but not in the winter, more's the pity.
