Actually I've been in hiding in Silverton for the last 33 years. We run a restaurant, printing business, and construction operation here, but I keep a low profile, though I'm pleased to see some names on this list that I have not been in contact with for a while. The reason they keep me on the town/county planning commission here is because I chaired meetings before some of the current members were born and I have become the memory bank on all the trivia of the past 30 some odd years of being associated with Silverton.
Those who know where I am usually look me up--so it has been fun to have friends like the Grandts, Jim Holmes, Dick Steinheimer, Bob Richardson, Bruce MacGregor, and many others, and my old friends from the D&RGW Silverton branch also visit--and we've lost a few lately, like Denny Cummins last year and Punk Blackstone this year. Even my old friend who was the bridge tender on the SP's Dumbarton Bridge visited last summer, so sooner or later, everyone visits Silverton.
