Wow, had no idea MILW track was still intact in Butt, er Butte, Montana. Rode over that track in one of the Steeple cab switchers and a bay window caboose in 1972 under the wire at Xmas time with my college buddy whose Dad was a conductor on the MILW. Boxcabs and Little Joes very much in use but not for much longer after that. Danged if I missed a cab ride in a Joe on account of too much cerveza and tequila the night before in a local sheep herder bar resulting in a massive hangover the next morning. But that's NNG unless you extrapolate out to the close proximity of the Montana Southern. Young and dumb was I.
