Good question John, I would assume it came through to the NG via Alamosa. I recall seeing a flat one time with a huge wooden structure built on it as a test load in a film and pictured below. Appears it could have made it through the tunnels if this test structure did. Pic is from the Dorman Collection off the Friends site.
