My last ride on the real DRGW was on the Silverton in the snow. October 1969, I was driving from San Francisco to a new job in Hearne, Texas and found an excuse to go via Durango. Chased one day rode another. Steam and snow are hard to beat, so I keep going back for the winter photo shoots.
Here's a picture from those "going back" visits in February 2009.
