The guy on the left is Ernie Robart, one of the founding fathers of the C&TS. He painted the C&TS herald on 483 before the first run. The guy on the right, is Bill Colley, the senior engineer on the Durango & Silverton. Ernie and good friend Bill Moyer were visiting me to see and ride the D&S K28 doubleheader and we had dinner with a group of D&S folks.

They following photo shows the whole gang....left is Nick Breeden engineer, Chase Bond fireman, Kyle Colley brakeman and Bill Colley's son, yours truly, Bill Moyer, Ernie Robart and Bill Colley hidden a bit, Paul Carson D&S Chief Conductor, and the only lady, Yvonne Lashmett (known to many of you as Boxcar Betty).
