Thanks for the details, Jerry. Man, the burst rate on the 850 must really be a breath of fresh air after shooting an 810. 5 fps or whatever it was won't necessarily get you a rods-down (or up) shot, but 9 fps will. Huge difference.
I'm with ya on the hiking. Nearly 30 years of running and my knees aren't what they used to be. I cringe every time a photo charter stops at MP 309. I've been resisting buying a UAV (drone) for the elevated shots, but DJI now has some foldable ones where the whole apparatus.....air vehicle and controller.....will fit in my camera bag. It could be the answer to my MP 309 phobia.
