We are a bit concerned that the Casey Jones, stalled at Tacoma since about June 13 won't make it for the festivities, but maybe it is being worked on. We were bringing it up to Silverton and got about a mile above Tacoma when it stopped cold and we had to coast backwards to Tacoma. The battery was dead, and it started fine with a recharge, so the problem was thought to reside in the magneto. We had to catch the Cascade train, got to sample the cheese and wine at Cascade wye, and then rode back down to Rockwood. That little vehicle is a real kick to ride on.
