It's on DVD now!!! With chapters so you can watch the segments you want. DVD in this case is sharper than VHS. Thats because in the VHS days, if one were shooting on a more professional format, then it was better original quality than the VHS sale video to the public. 1986-1991 I shot on 3/4" professional tape, and starting in 1992 went to the Betacam SP which was a 1/2" Beta tape which ran 10 times faster than a regular Beta tape. The SP was a metal particle tape which was better than regular Betacam. Anyway that camera was used for the Craft trips and for about 10 years. Thus editing was sharper and we are able to basically hold that quality to a dvd right from the master, which makes it sharper than the VHS you have.
I was glad to be a part of that Craft stuff as it was an amazing amount of trips, some of which were the first of their kind since Rio Grande days. Back to 497....yes we saw lots of it in that video!
