The Salida Mail would quite often made mention of the locomotives going in and out of the shops
Most over hauls took a month or two
Example Salida switch engine 0-6-0T #106
3/14/88 ran away, hit lime car, completely wrecked / 4/17/89 out of shops
10/4/89 in shops for over hauling / 11/1/89 out of shops
9/4/91 in shops, broken main pin / 9/18/91 in back shops (big repairs) / 11/13/91 out of shops

#177 4-6-0 12/24/86 in shops / 1/28/87 out of shops

#251 2-8-0 5/22/91 brought in from Gunnison broken frame, for total over haul / 5/29/91 in shops / 7/24/91 out of shops
