Re: Rotary Christmas Video

Actually William its part of two different videos. The first part is in Steam Rotary. The second part was from the discontinued "Triple Header Rotary". The freight footage with multiple engines was my charter in 93 after the Rotary Ran. The ballast train as it turned out was an ominous sign cause the curve before Cresco was super soft, and the Rotary had a slight derailment on the way back to Chama. Thus they deemed it unsafe for passengers beyond that point. Therefore my charter was relegated to west of that point. We could have gotten a refund, but then everyone loses, so we did a bunch of stuff on the track we had to work with. I did a video called "Chama Freight Turns", which like "Tripleheader Rotary" never got put on DVD, thus no longer for sale. We do have the other two Rotary shows however from 91, and the last time OY ran in 1997 (Rocky Mountain Snowplow". By the way the RR gave us the use of 3 engines instead of just the two we had chartered, plus gave everyone 2 comp tickets to ride the train in the future. We had some interesting shots on the charter, but 497 had a piston issue or something crossing Lobato trestle, just after the shot we see in this little video. So we only had 487 and 488 to work with after that.
