WRT heat.... No, at the moment, none of the WW&F Coaches have heat. They have experimented with portable heaters in the past, but with folks getting on and off so frequently, and no insulation, it is difficult to keep heat in the cars. I will leave it to the museum's regular crew to comment as to whether or not there are any plans in that regard. The museum usually doesn't operate trains during the winter (except for VC and photo events), so it's not usually a problem. There are large, heated spaces in the shop building at Sheepscot and a large bonfire burning at Alna Center, so keeping warm isn't as much of an issue as you might think. In fact, there are usually no shortage of folks who are willing to ride in open excursion cars for the trip to Alna Center. That can be a sporty ride, but Mainers are a very hardy lot. A little chill doesn't bother 'em much.
