Greg, This is ex-Ely Thomas from Jetsville, WV and before that, ex-Champion Fibre from Robbinsville, NC (little sister to Graham County RR). I've seen pictures and it looks to be in good shape and kept up well. Would be great to see it run, but being Forest Service property, I wouldn't hold out much hope. As an aside, this engine worked along side Shay #5 at the National RR Museum in Green Bay (I think that's the name), and Shay #6 under rest. at Pine Creek.
