It might come closer to Sn3.5 (Sn42). H-O standard gauge track comes very close to 42 inches in S scale.

Maybe someone who models will build an S scale Kb or some such for the National narrow Gauge Convention. Just to be different.

But if one was to try to enter Sn3, you would still need to re-gauge the Mantua 2-6-6-2, and, of course, the Uintah ran them as tank locos, but the SV had tenders.
