Thanks for posting the link. I wish I knew where this person got this, as I’ve never even
heard of it before. It’s not on the DVD. I have often referred to “Emperor of the North” as ‘the Citizen Kane of train movies,’ as nothing else ever came close. It also did a great job of showing a believable slice of the 1930s.
Remember back when you could
only catch this movie on TV, normally about once every year or two? Even as a kid, my folks would work around anytime that it aired as even they realized it's the best train movie
EVER. They never did that for anything else on TV (except Disney's "great locomotive chase" movie).
So sad that #19 is now at that Ohio roundhouse, as I doubt it'll run
anytime soon. I was hoping to hop a ride "on the 19" someday...
Other than the locomotives used in the movie, it's all gone now. The line was torn up and most of the actors are long gone.
