Glad to see that you got the old engine running again. We used the tipple fairly regularly between 1991 and 1995 using the electric motor to run the hoist. We did some work on the tracks, the buckets, and the bottom of the elevator pits during that time. The hardest job was getting the coal to flow into the buckets. We wanted to line the grizzly with sheet metal to help the coal slide more easily but did not have the money. In the days when we could not rely on the backhoes it was always reassuring to know that there was a 100 tons of coal available in a hurry that required only gravity for loading into a tender in a hurry. Congratulations on getting it running.
