Was the cab also moved back a little, to allow a wider deck between the firebox & tender to give the fireman a little more room?

p.s. to DaveTLC et al – the first & third photos on [
ngdiscussion.net] show very clearly the differences of the frames of K-36s vs K-37s behind the fourth pair of drivers. IIRC, except for the differences in the cylinder saddles to accommodate the different diameter boilers, the D&RGW copied the K-36 running gear exactly from pilot to fourth drivers, then adapted the rear of the K-37 frames to fit the C-41 fireboxes.
