Yes, I was referring to after 1930. Four locomotives on the road seams right. Another locomotive assigned to Ridgeway to work the yard and to be a second helper up the 4% grade was something I also saw the the Durango Call Board.
I always read postings about many fall stock rushes, but spring stock rushes to get the animals to the grazing lands is not talked about very much. Jimmy's May 16, 1949 posting is very informative. Those trains departing Montrose east with two K-27 helpers must have been a sight to see!
