In a blaze of shortsidedness, the line has been removed and sold for scrap. I assume that some not-to-be-mentioned, but influential, local individuals, got a bunch of money for the scrap, gracias to American scrappers. And so, Nicaragua, as do the other Central American countries, continues in mind bending poverty.
