I don't really know, I've heard several figures, the lowest being 60K (just materials, remember), but, the restoration won't be complete until the new trucks are under it, and they may cost as much as the work done to date.

Among other things, the assigned team this year found that freight axles won't work, BY ONLY 1.5 INCHES!, (length) and brand new axles must be turned not only for that project, but the other two sets of composite trucks, as well.

I heard 8 of the axle/wheel sets were due by Spring, and I was instructed to keep some wheels, and a trailer, out of the snow.

These axles will receive brand new wheels, thankfully. AFAIK, the work has been commissioned in Farmington, but, as usual, I just drive the delivery truck.
