Back when I was 15 and again 17 we chased NG steam from Durango with my dad. He was what got us interested in trains from the before we were born, according to mom. So enjoy those days together and don't put it off. My dad has been gone 10 years now, and I treasure those trips as a youth even today. One of these days I will post some pics if I can ever get some of the slides scanned somehow.
Dad made an effort to find out what was going on on the NG in the 60's when we went out there, and for that I am very grateful. The area is still one of best steam treasures in the U.S. Where else in the US can you find two scenic steam lines so close together, that were once part of the same railroad. Pretty rare!!!

PS...Didn't I see a photo of you sitting in the cab of an engine at Steamtown someplace?
