Yesterday we only had two cruise ships in town so we only ran 14 trains. Having such a qiuet day we went ahead and unloaded the tender during the lull between the departure of the afternoon trains and their return. We then unloaded the locomotive during the lull between the departure of the evening train and its return. Ramps were used for both moves and had to be assembled and dis assembled each time as the units were unloaded off the front of removeable goose neck low boy trailers. All the cruise ship passengers had a ring side seat for the show.
We hope to fire up the engine sometime next week after giving it a through bath and putting all the jewelry back on.
The way has finally been cleared to do a cosmetic restoration of the #52 (2-6-0) which has been sitting in a most forlorn condition across the street from our depot.
The #195 (WWII 2-8-2) is mired in politics and pretty much stripped. It is not a canidate for restoration any time in the near future.
