We did several other runbys west of Toltec. Between all that smoke generation and a lot of easy grade shuffling, 489 was getting pretty plugged up. Russ and I used to use a departure from Los Pinos Tank as an excuse to "blow 'er out". I recall the guy standing next to me muttering "he'd better make some smoke" I told him not to worry about that..
Russ got two exhausts out of 489 and lost his footing just as I tripped the shutter with the results below.
We did one more runby on the Cumbres Loop before heading down the hill, tieing up at 630pm, another 13 1/2 hour day.
