I was in Alamosa two days ago and walked the line of semi derelict passenger cars and steam engines on the east end of the yard. There is a boiler resting on the ground that LOOKS like it may belong to 1744. 1744's cab was there too. An ex-LS&I steam engine (#18?) was in the line in poor shape too.
Sidebar: I was especially impressed with the lounge car that once belonged to some circus; it looked to be in great condition for the age, but may be "tubed" on the inside. The Nickel Plate diner looked neat too, but was also in poor condition. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures. No camera along.
