Yea I recently gave a presentation on the SP Narrow Gauge that featured photos from the Donald Duke Collection, from the 1940s through the end of the 1950s. About the only thing that was different was the engine not being filthy.
Otherwise there was a large amount of deja-vu going on. Felt like I was in my slideshow.
The rods and running gear were actually quite dirty from the injector overflow kicking up dust when venting steam instead of water. (the injectors were finicky through the weekend) Apparently the crew asked if anyone wanted it cleaned and everyone said "no!"
