Yes, I thought of that too. But I believe the museum does not have the money to assemble the engine back East. It will be done back home in Colorado with the volunteers who have kept her running all these years.
i whold imagine that if the project goes well the museum will use the Strasburg Shop again to do the necessary work on the D&RGW 318 that has been in pieces for some years now.
