Zoomed in on the DPL archive page, I can vaguely read lettering on the side tank, with the letters C, C, and CO visible. Under the same degree of zoom, the builder's plate can be read as Baldwin #20487, which according to this page was indeed a 3' gauge outside frame 2-6-2T built for use on the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company (Or C.C.C.Co., as seen on the side tank) in Mexico. Likely not in Las Animas county like the DPL archive info would indicate.
