Short answer: YES. I am heading down tomorrow. I expect Kenosha pass* to be nearly at peak colors (for the aspens). It will be just a few more days past that the trees along the C&TS will be really taking off. With such a wet summer, I don't know how long things will stay at peak. I think the first few days of the Goose 5 excursions will be quite good. Not sure about the last days of the 5. I expect to see really full trains real soon now.
The corn husk lilies along the CATS are done for the season. I have seen most of the ferns along the ROW turning tan, marking the end of their season. Summer is over. Fall is now on. About 5 full weeks of C&TS season remains. Three Goose 5 days are fully booked.
