Hi, all -
The SEARCH function has been busted ever since the conversion to the new version of the NGDF a couple of years ago – it doesn't like ANY numbers or special characters entered as part of the subject of the search. Someone suggested this work-around a while back — enter your search criteria followed by "/NGDiscussion" (without the quotes) and then search using Yahoo or Google. I entered "May 2, 1949/NGDiscussion", searched using Yahoo, and found the thread.
Maybe Don or Nathan could check this out, and if it works for them add a "sticky" post to the top of the Table of Contents (just below "About the NGDF") with the subject line "Doing a Search by Date" or something to that effect . . .
