Well....Day 3 is a wrap and it was another fantastic day. Today saw my father and I going to the Farmer Brothers excellent program on the C&S Bobber #1008. The love and care that Richard and Bob are giving her is just simply amazing. I can't wait to see the rest of the progress on her.
We had one more spin through the vendor rooms and surprisingly I still found more ways to spend money. heheheheh Soooo.....much......stuff......I.......Need. heheheheh
After a good lunch we started around town. First stop was to drop off some of the Barrel Transfer plans to Art Lort, for use on his amazing HOn3 3rd division. Then...on to 4 layout tours. The first was HOn3 is escaping my brain (sorry...sleep eludes me), the next was Bill White's Fn3 (I think this was his name), Jim Trowbridge's On3 empire, and then Ron Kaiser's beautiful Fn3. The craftsmanship on all of the layouts was awe inspiring.
I think the best part of the day was meeting up with friends (from the NGDF and from the Model Railroad Hobbiest site). Got to talk with Sam and Steve Forney a while, meet up with Mike "Bonefish" for a bit, talked with the Aiken Brothers (we were on the same flight path on the tours). I must say that it was an honor and privilege to see all of you and catch up.
Here are the pictures in the days order:
