It's supposed to be fun

When I feel bad, I go down to the depot platform at the Manitou & Pikes Peak. It is always full of happy people on vacation, most quite willing to settle into a conversation with a local train expert. I always walk up the track and wave to the passengers as the train departs and they wave back. The employees are, for the most part, having a good time. After all, this is a pretty pleasant job and nothing negative has happened here. I am glad to hear the C&TS is operating in that mold. It would have been easy enough for its employees to be downhearted after all the negative things that have happened to that railroad. It is good news indeed that people are having fun.
