As for the Uintah Ry #12 being used in Nevada I offer the following. In a letter dated Oct 21, 1941 C.B. Sexton wrote to John H. Nichols, Dean of the University of Idaho the following. "We only operated this No. 12 over the railroad between Eureka and Palisade about six trips." He goes on to say that the engine could be puchased for $500 or less.
