Re: D&S train 463 Rumor

TOTALLY UNSUPPORTED RUMOR has it that there was a superheater problem. I was on the 465 sitting at Home Ranch for awhile (I was taking a nap...) with an arrival in Silverton an hour or so late.Back in Durango it was noticed that the smoke box door was open with a lot of bodies around it. I've had a bit of bad luck on the 465 recently. Last Sunday the 473 had some fire box door problems with an hour or so delay/. Happy to report that the crews acted quickly & professionally and the passengers were good natured about an "adventure on the rails".
Much more ominously the relatively HUGE black diesel was sitting beside the station. I was so surprised that I didn't catch the number. The TOTALLY UNSUPPORTED RUMOR is that somebody said we bought to run it so they will. I cringe at the possible possibilities.
