Pistons, piston rods, and crossheads are at a machine shop that we use regularly for outside work. Work has begun in the Chama shop of making new piston rings for both sides. We have determined that no cylinder boring will be necessary at this time. Once all the parts are done 484 will be reassembled. We had originally planned to do all this along with rebuilding the valve motion and setting the valves after 488 returned to service. A timeline on the rest of that work is uncertain.
